When I decided to sit down (read: curl up in bed under a duvet) to finally write a blog post tonight, I didn’t even realize I would do it while watching the new season of The Great British Bake Off. As I wrote about cookies. As I wrote about cookies well-suited to ice cream sandwiches. As I watched a bunch of Brits bake biscuits destined to be biscuit sandwiches for Paul Hollywood and that new lady who isn’t Mary Berry. THIS WAS MEANT TO BE.
I was at the beach last weekend for a wedding, when the topic of Dutch ovens came up. My friend Laura, the bride, asked me what she should make in her new Le Creuset when we were at the afterparty. In that particular setting I didn’t quite have a list of recipes to rattle off to her, but right away I shouted, “Ricotta! Ya gotta make ricotta, it’s so easy….but uhhhh, remind me tomorrow,” and I went back to my prosecco split and totally not embarrassing Snapchat story.
A few weeks months ago, I was lucky enough to attend a cookbook launch at the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen. I’m just one of those girls who dashes about town, going to fun, super cool events like that.
